Please help...
Do you know a guy who travels between SF and Bali selling coconut shell and bone carved, gauged earrings? Four years ago I bought exquisite earrings from him at the Cell Space Holiday craft fair (or whatever) and today they broke. I think his name was Jessie and at the time he traveled with a girlfriend who sold sarongs from Bali. If you can help me out, please contact me directly. I would be so thankful!

Fri, March 7, 2008 - 5:50 PMthere is a Jesse from Santa Cruz who is married to a woman named Margot...who used to create batiked wall-hangings down in Bali...her site is www.leomdesign.com....mostly clothing...and this is Jesse's page, for you to see if it's the same guy -
people.tribe.net/a63d25a2-...10f2bfa2c.
I don't know if he designs earrings, as far as I remember they're both musicians...but I thought it was worth a shot.
Good luck! -

Re: Looking for Coconut Shell Carved Earrings From Bali
Sun, March 23, 2008 - 11:15 AMNoooo!!! The beautiful black ones??? Those were the earrings that inspired me to gauge...you never knew!! :)
I was just at the Gem Show in Tuscon-know of Coco Loco and agree with you about the quality thing.
I met this guy who had some BE-U-TI-FUL carvings in your gauge too.
Check him out-he's based in Portland valkosichel@hotmail.com
This is the guy that supplies places like Braindrops in SF and Optic Nerve in Portland
He may not be the guy you're looking for but he'll do in a pinch!
Did you look at Jakes stuff at Nomad in Boulder? -

Tue, March 25, 2008 - 3:35 PMNO KIDDING!
wow... well, they are actually dark brown because they are made of coconut shell and i am still wearing them because my hair is so long no one sees them there anyway... thanks for the contacts- i am still confident that the universe will help me find the original creator again, but maybe in the meantime...
good to see you last last weekend... next time back home in sf!

Re: Looking for Coconut Shell Carved Earrings From Bali
Fri, April 4, 2008 - 4:30 PMYou can also try Isaac and Jessica with Phoenix Rising Designs. They carry a lot of coconut carved, gauged jewelry. I don't think they have their earrings up on their website but you can check phoenixrisingartists.com and contact them through that. They also have a tribe Phoenix Rising Designs. I know they were at CellSpace selling their stuff a few years back, but they've never been big into sarongs. Anyway, thought it was worth a shot.
