Hey y'all.
Just thought I'd toss in a bit of consciousness/rage expansion to go along with the show in Eugene this Thursday.
This week, the University of Oregon is hosting the Iraqi Body Count Memorial, which is a collection of small flags, one red one for every US soldier and one white one for every 6 Iraqis killed (they haven't raised enough money to get one for each Iraqi).
We hear about billions and trillions every day now, so much so that all of these numbers merge together to seem huge but simultaneously meaningless. Come see what just over 100,000 looks like. It's terrible and beautiful and something immeasurably worth seeing.. And then rage it in the name of all those who died for capitalistic meaninglessness, whether they've got their own little flag or not.

Where: The University of Oregon Campus, 13th and Kincaid St. (get on 13th, which is one way and drive to where it Ts with Kincaid. Turn right and if it's after 6 you can park for free).
