Um, I like the interest and attention to these matters, but there is really nothing in here about Organic Farming one way or another.
I urge you to read the bill carefully before spending too much energy on it. I really appreciate you bringing this to light, but there is a lot of misinformation out about this one.
Our food safety system is handled in a patchwork fashion right now - it does need overhauling. The bill is attempting to deal with some of the inherent dangers of our industrialized food production model. That said, the bill does need some changes to the way it's currently written. If you engage in any action, I would suggest that you recommend to your Representative that the bill should be changed to implement scale-appropriate food safety mechanisms that do not place unfair burdens on small producers. Also, it's still in committee, so, it's got a long way to go before it becomes law. By all means, contact your Reps, let them know your opinions, but relax - the sky is not falling.
