Fri, September 12, 2008 - 1:45 PMI want to send out a big Thank You for a great night. Good sounds, good people, and a fun venue. I'd like to throw something out there for a little discussion, though.
The lights. Strobes specifically. It's not really common knowledge, but bright flashes of light like that can cause migraines, seizures, and all manner of mental confusion. My wife and I have had to leave several shows after she's gotten "flashed" by some overzealous lighting guy and developed debilitating migraines. Modern show lighting is pure magic imho, so why do some fall back on the strobe so much?
Thankfully, Ana Sia was MELTING the front room as the strobes were just too much during Bassnectar's set. I heard others comment on it as well...
Keep up the great gigs as they are some of the few things that bring us out of the hills!! -

Sat, September 13, 2008 - 7:49 PMi will unplug the strobe personally next show.. sometimes the lighting people do get a bit ecited especially when the energy peaks and goes through the roof..
