Ian- you KNOW I wish I could be at that show. I've gotta keep my focus on the more northern gigs, tho. This little thing called life that isn't Bassnectar has a surprisingly good vice grip.

Like you, I saw a lot of poor-sounding shows at The Catalyst. I used to complain to the sound guys and even to some performing artists that I know that play there frequently. Then I saw Les Claypool and it was absolutely amazing sound. I realized that if the act's sound dude has enough influence, they can get great sound. Every Spacenectar show I've seen, the sound quality jumps up a notch when he plays. I once asked Lorin if the sound guys do that on purpose for him, and he joked, "It's our little secret."

I have hopes that he'll rock the Catalyst like it's s'posed to be rocked. And that I'll have just as much intense pleasure as so many other shows I've seen him play.
